Deepti Sawhney
CEO & Founder
A thought leader in technology integration and strategy, Deepti completed her Certificate of Educational Studies from The College of Teachers, Institute of Education, London, UK and has trained in Teaching Languages through Technology from Trinity College, UK with a Distinction Grade in her ICT project from Consultant-E, Spain. She was the Leader for ICT at the British School and has been an educator for Technology Integration for the last 20 years. She has also worked as Head, ICT Initiatives, Learn Today, India Today Group and wrote the technology curriculum for the teacher resource book for The Royal Academy, Bhutan. Deepti is the Chief Executive Officer at Mahattattva.
the Leader for ICT at the British School for six years and has been a teacher educator for Technology Integration for the last 15 years now.
Before setting up Mahattattva, she worked as Head, ICT Initiatives, Learn Today, Learning Division of the India Today Group where she was responsible for providing consultations to schools on technology integration, she spearheaded technology initiatives in all the projects that Learn Today undertook and also conducted teacher development programmes in technology integration (India and Bhutan). She also wrote the technology curriculum for the teacher resource book for The Royal Academy, Bhutan.
She is currently pursuing her PhD in Educational Technology and working with Google India on NCERT projects for teacher training.
In March 2019, she was awarded the BETT Asia Leadership Award at Kuala Lumpur for her work on ‘Design Thinking for Social Change’ project. This project is globally recognised and has been made into a case-study by UPenn, US.
Vidur Sawhney

Vidur holds Post Graduate Degrees in International Relations and International Development from the University of London and has been associated with some of the largest professional consultancies in the world, such as Deloitte and KPMG. He has worked with several Fortune 500 companies during his stint in the corporate world. His core expertise is in research, analytics, client acquisition, client relationship management and marketing. At Mahattattva, he leads a team of educators and academics as the Managing Director.
Usha Pathania
Director-Academics
Usha has been passionately involved in various aspects of education for over 30 years. After retiring as a teacher, Usha worked as a Consultant with Learn Today, the Learning Division of the India Today Group, where she performed academic audits and helped set up several new schools. She has conducted professional development programs with some of the best schools in the country. Her diverse experience and strong track record in fostering child-centered curriculum and student creativity adds lustre to her luminous career. With Mahattattva, she oversees the creation of the Mahattattva curriculum and execution of the same in client schools.
Paromita Banerjee
Academic Coordinator
Paromita Banerjee has more than 20 years of experience in teaching Science and Mathematics. A Science Graduate from Sambalpur University, she has also completed the Teacher Fellowship Programme in collaborative methods of teaching and learning of science offered by the Regional Resource Centre for Elementary Education (RRCEE), Delhi University. Paromita has taught Math and Science at various schools across grades 3 to 8. Her last and longest stint in teaching was at Vasant Valley School, New Delhi. Sonali Bhatt,
Academic Coordinator-Early Years
Sonali is a postgraduate from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda, and she completed her teachers’ training from Benaras Hindu University, Varanasi. She has the experience of working in a multitude ofschools ranging from Army, Navy, Convents and Sadhbhawana Schools. She was the Principal of the Army Preschool, Ahmedabad which challenged her to manage both academics as well as administration. Her last teaching assignment was with Vasant Valley School, New Delhi. At Mahattattva, Sonali heads the Early Years team. She has worked tirelessly to curate and develop the curriculum for Early Years and is directly involved in the implementation of the C.R.E.A.T.E. Curriculum in the classroom.
Convents and Sadhbhawana Schools. At the Sadhbhawana School, Leh, she introduced the concept of Parent’s Orientation at the beginning of each academic session. She was the Principal of the Army Preschool, Ahmedabad which challenged her to manage both academics as well as administration. Her last teaching assignment was with Vasant Valley School, New Delhi where she implemented strategies to accommodate differentiated learning thereby enabling self learning in children while inculcating strong reading habits. At Mahattattva, Sonali will be assisting and providing guidance in setting up new schools for early years including mentoring teachers and head(s) on content, curriculum, modules, usage and applicability. She will also monitor implementation of developed content and techniques.
Ashima Jairath
Academic Coordinator
An award-winning ex-principal, Ashima Jairath is a B.Sc. (Hons), having graduated from Delhi University specializing in Child Development and Psychology. She has over twenty years of experience in prestigious academic institutions such as Vasant Valley School, Delhi Public Schools and GD Goenka. Ashima has been instrumental in creating and designing the content for the English curriculum at Mahattattva. Ashima also ensures that the curriculum is being implemented in letter and spirit at all client schools.
A dynamic leader, she is proactive, innovative and passionate about education and believes that empowering teachers is the best way to move the dial on student improvement. Armed with great interpersonal skills, she is an effective communicator and presenter. Her forte lies in providing guidance and leadership to staff through grooming, training and mentoring to building powerful teams. She works towards enhancing the teaching-learning process to go beyond textbooks, to make students and teachers “future-ready” to face challenges that the real-world poses through student-centred learning and individualized instruction, experiential learning interventions and a multidisciplinary, hands-on activity-based approach involving multiple intelligences, using encouragement and positive reinforcement as tools to aid learning. She has designed and implemented innovative customised age-appropriate educational content and Report Cards; developed curriculum & content for a Nursery Teachers Training Course for Nalanda Learning Systems Pvt Ltd, Kolkata; provided audio voiceover support for Math tutorials (Classes IV to VII) for Second School Learning Pvt. Ltd. and authored Math Workbooks- Grade 1 to 5 for Arya Book Depot. An avid animal lover and travel buff, she enjoys reading, painting and solving word and number puzzles.
Kajal Kapur

Kajal Kapur is a graduate in Commerce from Guru Nanak Dev University (Amritsar). She has over 20 years of rich experience in the areas of communications, training & development, operation process management, customer relationship management and sales team management with various companies including GECIS, Perfexa Solutions, Bharti Infotrack, ICICI Bank and GMR Airports Limited before joining Pathways School, Gurgaon as an educator. At Mahattattva, Kajal is engaged in handling operations and workflow. She is instrumental in driving everything from creation of content to the publishing of the handbooks.

Praminda Langer
Consultant
Preminda Langer is a third-generation teacher who has trained in a mixed age classroom since 1977. She has always thought of herself as a progressive teacher, however, doing her M.Sc in Elementary Education at The Bank Street College of Education. New York City [1997], she understood what Progressive, Child Centred Education really is. At Mahattattva, she has been involved in constructing the EVS curriculum, which is aligned to the student's observable world and exercising life skills leading to discovery and experience.

Mr Sood is a key investor at Mahattattva, and as the Chairman of the Advisory Board, he empowers the company with a wealth of experience that he has gained in his many years in the corporate sector.
Rakhi Ahuja
Consultant
Rakhi Ahuja has taught in schools like The British School (Delhi), French School (Delhi), Delhi Public School (Dwarka) for more than fifteen years. She is a passionate and creative writer and a learning enthusiast. Her contribution to Mahattattva as a Hindi language specialist is to construct a Hindi Curriculum which enlightens the students in a progressive way.

In 2008, he established a Skills Academy for the University of the Arts, London in New Delhi and was conferred a Visiting Professor UAL in 2009. In 2010, he was given the responsibility of developing the Sushant School of Design where he was Dean for 5 years, growing the school from a handful of students to one of India’s leading Design Schools. He now heads the Creative Hub, SSD at Ansal University.
Gurpreet Mehra

Gurpreet Mehra is an accomplished educationist with a unique combination of child development, creative thinking, on-ground experience in delivering high quality results in the field of primary education. She has over 30 years of expertise on integrating different methodologies and learning styles. She has been with Vasant Valley for over 15 years and has been part of their growth journey. At Mahattattva, she is involved in developing the English Curriculum for Grades 4 & 5.

Lokesh has spoken at several public forums hosted by ASSOCHAM, CII, EDGE, ELETS, FICCI, Indian Education Congress, NASSCOM, PHD, International Telecom Union (ITU), UNDP, etc. and besides editing 2 books has also authored several articles published in leading newspapers and magazines.
Rabani Bhagat
Consultant
Rabani graduated with a B. Tech. Fashion Design degree from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Chennai, in 2012. In pursuit of her interest in design, she completed certification in 2D-Animation from AniMaster. She is an alumni of Yadavindra Public School, Mohali. At Mahattattva, she has taken to technology for illustrating the Student Handbooks, with stunning results.

Bina Mehta

Bina Mehta has been a passionate teacher for over 35 years teaching in the Elementary classes. She has worked in Naval Public School, New Delhi, New Vista, St. James School, and Vasant Valley School, New Delhi. She is a Senior Cambridge from Auxilium Convent Calcutta, BA Honors in English Literature from Lady Shri Ram College, MA English from Lady Shri Ram College and B Ed. from Delhi University CIE. At Mahattattva, she has been instrumental in the creation of curriculum for Kindergarten.
2014, Sangeeta was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Distinguished Award in Teaching in 2011. Sangeeta has contributed to several professional development and technology orientation programmes all over India. A e-source person with NCERT in developing ICT curriculum and e-content, she has developed video lessons for class XI & XII with Central Institute of Educational Technology, NCERT. She conducts workshops on GeoGebra, Desmos, Google Apps and Online Resources.
Dr. Neelam Sood

Dr Neelam Sood is a retired Associate Professor from University of Delhi. She has a rich teaching experience spreading over 37 years at the University. Now she is a teacher trainer and mentor to aspiring IELTS and UPSC candidates. She is a partner at Krishnakriti with a team of self-motivated, imaginative people having an abundance of talent and experience with Content development and Editing, Creative Design and Graphics. Krishnakriti is involved in the process of typesetting and layout of the C.R.E.A.T.E. Curriculum Handbooks.

Monica Singh
Consultant
Monica Singh has completed her M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Bombay College of Pharmacy, Kalina, Mumbai. She has worked for 5 years in the Pharmaceutical Industry as Organic Chemist and Quality Assurance Officer at ASolution Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., and Inventia Healthcare Ltd., respectively. She switched gears to change her line of work to editing, which she has been doing for the last two years. Monica Singh works as an Editor/Proof-reader at Mahattattva.
Development. She has been teaching for well over 30 years and often uses ICT as a vehicle for student learning projects across the curriculum. Yvonne is currently working alongside staff members at her school, and in conjunction with staff from neighbouring schools in the catchment cluster, to assist in the implementation of robotics and coding lessons to aid in the 2018 moderation and reporting of Digital Technologies in the primary school. She has presented at ECAWA State Conferences from 2001, Department of Education Innovation and ICT Seminars, Microsoft Roadshow, TeachMeets and now a STEM Conference incorporating the professional STEM associations of Western Australia. Her volunteer work includes running an after school Computer Club using a multiplayer Minecraft Server and an after school CoderDojo wherein students are able to follow their own passions in game making, animation creation, coding and simple VR development.

Rajat Hans from Modcare Enterprises has been a highly professional printer since 1989. The company has been engaged in printing, editing, composing, designing and book binding for the last 32 years. At Mahattattva, Rajat is instrumental in designing, editing and printing of the handbooks.

Army School Agra was the next challenge as the learners were first generation, straight out of their villages. Next came Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan, which follows a child centric pedagogy with ABL and PBL. Her experience with ICSC came at Greenlawns School, Mumbai. The move back to Delhi in 2015 led to a shift in her career from school teaching to teacher support. With Learning Links Foundation she designed curriculum and content to support their efforts with government schools across the country. For a short period, she headed their intervention with a MCD school at Delhi. She then joined Universal Learn Today where she supported schools through direct intervention as well as teacher training workshops. Mitsu has always strived to challenge herself professionally as well as personally. She did a course with INTEL when computers were emerging as tools in the education space. She did a beginner’s course in French to experience functional learning of a foreign language. She applied this learning to her classrooms with excellent results.
